About Our Society

Our colony is having 18 Blocks /144 Tenements which were constructed in the year 1961 by Maharashtra Housing & Area Development Board basically for Lower income Group people & Dis-housed people of Mumbai. The colony had Mango Orchard in between the open space ( Now Garden). It was like a small village. The houses were given on rent till year 2000 when our society got Conveyance executed by MHADA. The land was given on Lease and houses were sold by taking the minimum cost of construction from each members.

Since than the society is handling the affairs of the colony since more than 2 decades. As the families expanded the members requested the society to consider about reconstruction /Redevelopment of our colony. The first Special General Meeting was called in January 2015 as per the request letter. At that time it was informed to all present members that MHADA policies for redevelopment is not cleared hence it is better to wait for government policies to be cleared so that we will have clarity about every important matter of FSI/Cost/Sharing/Profitability etc.

Now that the FSI Policy and all the policies of MHADA  are cleared this is the right time to think about taking up redevelopment of our colony in very serious manner. As decided in AGM and various Managing Committee meetings the Committee had interviewed a few Project Management Consultants ( PMC) and the New project Managing Consultant is already selected the new Special General Meeting will be held soon to take this matter further.
